The Dallas Fire Fighters Association
chartered a bus so that off-duty Dallas firefighters could
travel to Houston and cover HFD fire stations. Dallas
firefighters were among the many Texas firefighters that
helped cover Houston fire stations so that more members
could attend the funeral of HFD Captain Grady Burke, who
was killed in the line of duty on February 19, 2005. The
65 Dallas firefighters that made the trip were an
excellent representation of the pride and brotherhood of
the Dallas Fire Department.
