Texas State Association of Fire Fighters Scholarship

The applicant must be a dependant of an individual who is currently certified, or was certified prior to retirement or was certified at the time of death, by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection as a fire fighter.

International Fire Fighters Association – W.H. “Howie” McClennan Scholarship

Sons and daughters of fire fighters who died in the line of duty.  Applicant of deceased parent must have been a member in good standing of IAFF at time of death.

Texas State Association of Fire Fighters Emergency Relief Scholarship

Same eligibility as the Texas State Association of Fire Fighters with the exception that this is for hardship circumstances.

Texas State Association Auxiliary

Applies to all children and step children of members of the Auxiliary to the Texas State Association of Fire Fighters who are in good standing with the Texas State Auxiliary.

George Meany Vision

This scholarship applies only to dues-paying union members or staff employees of an AFL-CIO affiliated organization interested in enrolling in the National Labor College.

This scholarship is set up for persons in the emergency response professions for continuing education.

National Fire Protection Association

There are seven (7) different scholarships through this site.  All of the following scholarships are for persons enrolled in fire service.

NFPA Scholarships, Awards & Grants


Harvard University Trade Union Program Scholarship

Two (2) scholarship awards will be made annually for IAFF members to attend the Harvard University Trade Union Program. These scholarships are awarded to members who have demonstrated active participation within their IAFF local affiliate as an officer, committee member, etc.
